NC Engineering Slurry tankers, 1600G up to 5000G, variety of specs. Tanker Ranges & Capacities: Vacuum Slurry Tankers: -Single-axle: capacities from about 1,100 gallons (4,950 L) up to 3,000 gallons (13,500 L). -Tandem-axle: capacities from around 2,050 gallons (10,125 L) up to 5,000 gallons (22,500 L). Features: -Hydraulic rear discharge valve -6-inch diameter suction hose -Pump protected from flooding via two float valves -Hydraulic brakes as standard, heavy-duty construction, level indicators (front & rear), anti-collapse tank rings, quick-attach drawbar/tow eye where applicable -Optional extras available (pump upgrades, extra fill points, suction hose upgrades, dribble bars / trailing shoe fittings, etc.) depending on configuration Top-Fill Slurry Tankers (Mechanical Discharge / Centrifugal-Pump Type): Key features: -Uses NC-designed centrifugal pump, driven either by PTO at 540 rpm or 1000 rpm depending on required spreading pattern -Non-splash filling turret — designed for smoother, controlled filling -Hydraulic brakes as standard Design / Build Quality / Options: -Tanks are constructed from 6 mm steel plate in many models, with internal anti-collapse rings for structural integrity. -Lighting, suction-hose hangers/brackets, access domes, sight-glasses (front & rear) — making maintenance, filling, and transport safer and easier. -Wide choice of optional extras: from higher-capacity pumps (e.g., more powerful vacuum pumps), auto-fill arms, extra fill/discharge valves, trailing shoe / dribble-bar attachments, hydraulic changeover systems, larger suction hoses (6″ → 8″), turbo-fillers, etc. This allows a fairly customised build to match farm size, tractor power, and slurry-handling needs. Who Each Type is Best For: -Single-axle vacuum tankers (4,950 L–13,500 L): ideal for small to medium-sized farms; easy to tow, manoeuvre, and cost-effective if throughput (slurry volume) is moderate. -Tandem-axle vacuum tankers (10,125 L–22,500 L / 5,000 gal): suited for larger farms or heavier slurry workload — more capacity, better stability when full, greater efficiency for frequent/large fills. -Single-axle top-fill tankers: good where mechanical discharge (rather than vacuum suction/discharge) is preferred, e.g., for spreading, or when centrifugal-pump discharge suits application better. Useful for moderate workloads but where spreading performance/distribution matters. -Tandem-axle top-fill tankers: for larger operations requiring high-volume discharge and efficient spreading. Suitable for farms with larger tractors (due to the need to power the centrifugal pump) and where even slurry distribution or higher output is desirable. -Custom / optional-extras configuration: when farm operations are specialised — e.g., trailing-shoe dribble systems for low-level spreading; larger pumps for fast filling/emptying; larger suction/discharge hoses for heavy slurry; auto-fill or remote-control options for convenience.
